Another season has begun, "preseason" that is, in High School Boys Volleyball! Tonight our boys took the court to scrimmage SV for a few matches. I love to see a whole new group of freshman out to learn the sport..... the game will continue on.
It is Logan's last school season and I think about the evolution. Beginning to end. Start to finish. I believe it is through experience, having experiences, going through stuff, learning the skills required for growth, desiring development, that leads to an evolution of a player...... and person.
From there, a revolution perhaps. A secret that translates into real life........ perhaps that is one reason why I am such a sports fanatic:)
My daughter is heading to the NEQ, a huge Girls VB Qualifier in Philly. She is developing quite a name for herself and learning a lot of life lessons along the way, relating to the sport and people. East Coast and West Coast do have their differences..... we could learn from each other.

Most times it is hard to withstand the duration of the testing or trials in life; we either give up, lose hope, lash out at others, or live an empty life. My decisions are based on trusting in His time, hashing it out on my knees, and going with the spiritual flow in my life.
It takes me in the right direction.
As I sat at the scrimmage tonight, flashes of previous seasons came before me. From the moments I played, to the beginnings of my kids' growth in the sport, to now having young adults, who remain with a passion for the game........ which has helped us in our recovery.
I had a long time friend tell me this week that my late husband would be very proud of me.............
