Our home has a revolving door, with each of us coming and going constantly, at all hours. I remember a time in my younger days, when friends i had known for years, would suddenly come, then go. Nothing made sense, other than the cycle of loss in a community........
When a city, community, nation, or congregation experiences something, it is felt collectively. We go through it together. Responses may be unnerving; reactions, unintentional. However there are bonds made, friendships formed, and a future forged. It can be a unifying time.
In order to find a way through those losses and the impact change makes, individuals must be willing to pave the way. Without those who go before, the path remains unclear; the purpose ambiguous. If we never went, we would never know what we are capable of....... or feel the favor of God.
Tonight we congratulate Redondo Unified, Logan's HS Beach Team, on their 1st place victory in the beach league competition! Logan was blessed to be part of this great group, high level play for his two years in Cali. I have a feeling he will be back there in the future.
Below is a quote shared by Coach Corey Glave, AVP Coach and Redondo Beach Coach:
Tracy, part of this Championship belongs to Logan Gehman. His work ethic and leadership last year helped build the character of this team. He will forever be part of R-Beach."
I share this with you to remind us all that even though we underwent tremendous challenges, adaptations, and transitions in our life, which I kept my community abreast of, we would not trade the experience. Putting yourself into the unknown has a way of unleashing your potential........and solidifying connections forever..........
My two oldest are traveling through the city of Boston with their beautiful college girl friends this weekend. We love this city, after having visited ten years ago, in their younger days. How special it is to have friends in the north and many, many friends on the west coast.
Because something doesn't look or feel like what I have been used to, doesn't mean it's the wrong way, a bad idea, or an idiotic notion. Perhaps it may speak of the courage it takes to embrace others, push for purpose, and draw out the potential in another. I only see the benefits.
Blessings on blessings on blessings.
