You know, I've been thinking........ I think it's safe to say we all want to be "blessed." But who and how many of us in actuality, will do what it takes to position ourselves for the blessing.........
I have come to learn that it is much more common to be complacent; easier to be accepting of current situations; and live a lifestyle where we settle for less than is best. I decided a few years ago, that I cannot dwell in that space and do what it takes to keep in spiritual motion, every single day.
That is what gets everything else going in life............
There are keys to positioning oneself - knowing the seasons in life, geographic locales, and the importance of being aligned with the right "company." Oh, and then there is timing and that friends, is everything.
Positioning may move me to the west coast for a time, but seeing the season ahead brought me right back to the place in which my blessing lies. The time in the west may have been for more than my own sake, and to support my kids; it may have been to set me up................
I wonder if there are others who have felt led to go.... be, or do something compelling, only to shrug off the signs, and dismiss the urges. Perhaps to re-position yourself will actually bring about more blessings than you could ever imagine. It may not need to be forever; we over-complicate everything.
In reading the story of Gideon, a man called for his courage when he had NONE, is fascinating. His community had been impoverished, stolen from just when they were about to become prosperous. I can identify with the frustration he must have felt.......... which left him with no way out, until....
One day, he heard someone call him courageous. One day, an angelic voice called out something in him that perhaps he had never even known was there. I read his struggles and doubts, but what I see, is his new attitude. He knew when it was time to move. He did something........
I hope in this new season that September has brought upon us, this call for courage to change your life, situation, setting, and relationships will ring true for those who need to hear me. I have been there. I know what it is like. I feel compelled to write this personal message tonight to you.......
